The Council for Cross-Cultural Affairs being recognized by the Office of the Sacramento Mayor as a Nonprofit of Distinction is not just an award for us. It is a reflection of every program, every conversation, every event, every connection that turned into real impact.

This recognition belongs to our entire community. To every partner who showed up. To every volunteer who gave their time. To every voice that believed in building bridges across cultures.

We don’t do this for titles. We do this because communities don’t grow by accident. They grow when people choose to care, to connect, and to lead.

Thank you, Mayor Kevin McCarty and your team, for this recognition and support!

Grateful to stand in that room. Even more grateful for what we are building beyond it.

As 2025 comes to a close, we reflect on one of our most touching events, Christmas Lights for Children with Special Needs. This special night was a true celebration of empathy, togetherness, and generosity.

With the dedication of our Council For Cross Cultural Affairs partners, supporters, and volunteers, we were honored to bring smiles and joy to over 200 children with special needs and their families.

The evening was filled with sparkling holiday lights, meaningful gifts, an IMAX movie experience, laughter, and heartfelt connections. Our gratitude goes out to everyone who made this magical night possible. Together, we brightened spirits and created hope.

You are the light that makes this season shine ❤️💚
