During the holiday season last year, the spirit of giving was truly on display at Eskaton. Our talented residents from Eskaton Village Grass Valley came together to hand-knit beanies, scarves, and gloves to create heartfelt gift bundles for residents of Eskaton's affordable housing communities, including Eskaton Natomas Manor, Wilson Manor, and Clearlake Oaks Manor. 💙
Alongside the cozy knitwear, each bundle included thoughtful goodies, trinkets, and toiletries, turning simple donations into meaningful reminders of connection and community.
Jennifer Salvato (pictured right) has seen first hand the impact that these acts of kindness have on residents, especially during the holiday season. Having taken part in several gift-giving activities as Executive Director in Training, Jennifer shared, “Moments like our gift-giving celebrations and Friendsgiving have shown me just how deeply these small acts of kindness ripple through the lives of our affordable housing residents. Their faces genuinely light up when they’re shown even the simplest form of appreciation or love. That reaction never gets old for me. It’s a reminder that recognition, warmth, and community aren’t just ‘nice to have’; they’re essential.”
We’re grateful to our residents and team members for leading with compassion and proving that the smallest gestures can make the biggest impact. ✨
