On Big Day of Giving I shared a little about my story.

I remember when I finally received a “yes” that I could get support to stay in my home…

I could get vouchers for gas for transportation to and from doctors offices…

And I could get coupons for groceries.

While the program had limited resources, the program gave me more than tangible benefits…

It gave me hope, because it showed me that there were people out there who were willing to see me, hear my story, and meet my needs.

That was over 21 years ago, and today I am grateful to still be alive, here, fighting for women who are facing that same desperation to hear someone say “yes.”

While we fell short of our Big Day of Giving goal, the need is still there and people are still asking where to donate.
