Just a reminder that the August 2026 SMS Educational Meeting, Potluck & Rock Auction is happening THIS evening (August 5th).

Location: Sacramento County Cooperative Building located at 4145 Branch Center Rd., Sacramento, CA 95827.

The Junior Rockhounds have their meeting from 6:15pm-7 pm, and it will be a presentation about "Show Exhibits - Display Cases"!

The main Educational Meeting starts at 7 pm.
The educational meeting for this month is a presentation on "Upcoming Cave Trip & Display Cases" with Mike Jones and Glenda Green.

After our educational meeting has concluded we will have our potluck, so if you can bring a little dish to share, that would be great, if not, that is fine too!

Up for auction will be a handful of nice pieces, and whatever else our members might decide to bring to sell.

Join us for our Sell Mingle & Swap event on June 27th!

There will be a lot of amazing gemstones & rocks, artisan jewelry, cabochons, beads, crystals, and fossils available for purchase and everyone who comes will get a green calcite specimen.
