We will have a Raffle, Educational Displays, Demonstrations, and Activities including:
* Spinning Wheel (a winner every spin!)
* Build a Gemstone Bracelet
* Build a Gemstone Tree

Free Parking!

What You Will Find:
Minerals, Fossils, Beads, Jewelry, Gemstones, Meteorites, Jade, Lapidary Equipment, Tools, Gold, Opals, Crystals, Food, Slabs, Rough Rock and Cabochons, and much more!

Adult Admission $8.00, kids 12 and under free with paid adult.

Join us for our Sell Mingle & Swap event on June 27th!

Location: 915 T. Street, Sacramento, CA
Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026
Time: 11am - 4pm

This is a free event and open to the public!

There will be a lot of amazing gemstones & rocks, artisan jewelry, cabochons, beads, crystals, and fossils available for purchase and everyone who comes will get a green calcite specimen.

If you're curious about the Sacramento Mineral Society, this is the perfect event to learn more about us and meet us!

Once again, everyone who attends will get a small free rock at the SMS table, so don't miss out!

Sacramento Mineral Society Meeting Reminder
Junior Rockhounds (6:15 PM – 7:00 PM)

Alexandrite: The Color Change Stone - This meeting will fulfill 1 segment of the Special Effects badge

Following their meeting, the Junior Rockhounds will enjoy their own small potluck. Parents and guardians are welcome to bring a snack or beverage to share, though it is not required.

Educational Meeting (7:00 PM)

This month's educational presentation is:

"Ammonites vs. Nautiloids"

Presented by Mike Jones, our outstanding SMS Field Trip Leader.

Mike will also discuss the upcoming June 13th field trip to Crystal Peak.

Our educational presentation will run from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. During this time, we ask that all side conversations and phone use be limited to the outer lobby area out of respect for our speaker.

If you arrive early, please feel free to help set up tables for the meeting.

Monthly Challenge

Every participant who submits an entry will be entered into a drawing. One lucky winner will receive:

To enter, simply bring your item and add your name to the Monthly Challenge sheet on the counter in the meeting room.

We can't wait to see everyone's creations!

Potluck

After the educational presentation concludes, we'll enjoy our monthly potluck.

If you're able to bring a dish, snack, or beverage to share, that would be wonderful. If not, please come anyway—we're happy to have you join us!

Rockhound Auction

Following the potluck, we'll hold our live Rockhound Auction.

Several nice specimens will be available, along with any additional items that members choose to bring for sale.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

6p: Junior Rockhounds! Ages 4 - 17: We will be learning about Ulexite, and every junior in attendance will receive a free specimen of Ulexite (aka TV stone). Special thanks to our friends at Zanzibar Fair Trade Zanzibar Trading Co for their kind donation of Ulexite that made this possible! Please note that a parent or guardian must attend with the child.

7p: Main Meeting: Our presenter is Gina Malcolm who will be presenting on the wonderful world of Agates.

Bring a side dish if you wish for our delicious potluck, and stick around after the presentation for our rock & gem auction.

Proceeds from the auction support our educational programs and services.

You don't have to be a member to come to our presentations, but we do always love when new people join :)

We will have our booth at Gem Faire! Come see us May 1 - May 3. This event focuses on beads, gems, and jewelry - it is in the same place as our show in October and is a great event for jewelry makers & jewelry lovers!
