REBUS-a puzzle that uses pictures, symbols, letters and numbers to represent a hidden word, phrase or common idiom. My own rebus using buttons & button rebus’. Can you decipher them? Sorry could get a clear pic of a couple shiny ones. Will try in the comments.

Diminutive buttons, 3/8” or smaller. Not just for children or dolls. Look for NBB article ‘Annabelle’s Eight and Eighty Buttons!’ May 2019. I cannot imagine sewing all those on a dress.

Peace, Love & Rock and Roll. Saw Ringo this weekend & Barry ‘The Fish’ Melton a few months ago. Both of them still Rockin’! Not officially summer yet, but triple digits in our forecast so I’m calling it. Fun memories of driving through the Haight before drugs killed the counter culture. Still a hippie at heart.

We love seeing buttons on their original garments. This is a child’s vest. I think the fabric is either silk or linen. Given to me in a plexiglass frame by a fellow china button lover.
