It’s been just under a week since Treasures of the Valley, and we’re still feeling so thankful for everyone who showed up and supported. 💚

It takes so many people to make an event like this happen, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the evening so special!

A huge thank you to the Bobby Marino Trio for the music, Sierra Nevada Journeys and Sacramento Splash for the work you do connecting students with open space, Giggle and Riot for the fun photo booth, Paige Fandrei for capturing the evening, and Touchstone Brewing for partnering with us on the Open Space Session IPA. 🍺📸

We’re also grateful to retired County Supervisor Don Nattoli and current City Councilmember Roger Dickinson, two of the supervisors who voted in support of preserving Deer Creek Hill for coming and sharing a few words with us about that decision. 🏞️

And of course, THANK YOU to our w**e vendors Casino Mine Ranch and Lacavalier Cellars, Chef Zenti, silent auction donors, sponsors, donors, volunteers, staff, and everyone who attended!

This week, the SVC staff spent a day retreating together, combining field learning, team discussion, new site prospecting, and a bit of long-range planning. We connected, played some games, got our boots on the ground, and enjoyed a fresh, beautiful, locally grown lunch and Karly’s homemade, super yum cookies! 💚 Do you recognize or have visited these local preserves?

WYLD Volunteer day today! We were also joined by some volunteers from our friends at Friendship Force to accomplish trail maintenance and invasive plant removal. We focused on the areas adjacent to the lodge, and repaired some irrigation for native baby plants planted by the California Climate Action Corps volunteers last weekend. 💚💚💚 If your company is interested in supporting a business volunteer day, shoot us an email @ [email protected]
