LeadingAge California is pleased to welcome Antonette Sorrick as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs. Antonette brings more than 20 years of executive leadership in California state government and extensive experience in regulatory administration, public policy, government relations and consumer protection. Most recently, she served as Director of State Government Affairs for Magellan Health, where she led multi-state legislative and regulatory strategy for a national behavioral health organization and worked with policymakers, regulators and organizational leaders to advance access to care.
Previously, Antonette served for 11 years as Executive Officer of the California Board of Psychology, overseeing the agency responsible for regulating more than 21,000 licensed psychologists and directing its licensing, enforcement, legislative, regulatory, fiscal, and administrative operations. Her earlier leadership roles included Executive Officer of the State Board of Guide Dogs for the Blind and Deputy Director of Board Relations for the California Department of Consumer Affairs. Throughout her career, Antonette has built productive partnerships among government agencies, legislators, providers, professional associations and consumer advocates. At LeadingAge California, she will lead regulatory advocacy, advise members navigating complex requirements and help advance policies that strengthen aging services and improve access to care for older adults. Antonette earned her bachelor’s degree in political science, with a minor in English, from the University of California, Berkeley.
