Our hearts are heavy as we grieve alongside the San Diego community. World Relief Southern California’s San Diego office was in close proximity to the heartbreaking attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego, a trusted partner in welcoming and serving newly arrived Muslim refugee and immigrant families.
Here in Sacramento, we know many refugee, immigrant, and Muslim families are feeling fearful and unsettled. To our neighbors and community members, we want you to know you are valued, welcomed, and not alone.
World Relief Sacramento stands in solidarity with our San Diego colleagues, the Islamic Center, Imam Taha, and the broader Muslim community during this painful time. We condemn this act of violence and remain committed to compassion, dignity, peace, and belonging for all.
We are praying for San Diego, for healing, and for every individual and family impacted.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
