It was a fun day of friendly competition and celebrating each agency's Lifeguards from the Folsom Parks & Recreation, the City of Sacramento Parks & Recreation, the City of Placerville Parks & Recreation, Cosumnes Parks & Recreation, and El Dorado Hills Community Services District. Congratulations to the City of Folsom Parks & Recreation Lifeguards for winning this year's competition! Special thanks to all the lifeguards for keeping our pools safe and making a difference in your community!

Water Safety Month is here and the CPRS Aquatics Section has arranged for a special presentation by Julie Lopiccolo & Jonathan St Clair with the Jasper Ray Foundation for Drowning Prevention and Child Safety. NCAMA Workshop 2024 is a wrap! The day was filled with great morning classroom sessions covering Crucial Conversations, The Fred Factor and Public Safety in Parks. After lunch participants went through stations discussing and trying out different training activities for first aid and in water skills. Thank you to all presenters and the City of Roseville Aquatics for hosting our event!

CPRS Aquatic Section needs our feedback! Please take a few minutes to take the survey and let the committee know what you are looking for when attending CAMS!

ONLY A FEW DAYS REMAIN TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR SURVEY!

The California Aquatics Management School (CAMS) Committee is looking to transition from the format of training that has been in place for over 20 years!

We are asking for a few minutes of your time to fill out the survey linked below so that we can get crucial information on how we should proceed with the intended changes! Even if you are not working in aquatics, this 2 to 3 day training is extremely beneficial to learn the scope of work that goes into managing or supervising aquatic facilities and staff. We are hopeful to hear from you, our CPRS members, so we can continue to improve, evolve and ENHANCE our professional training efforts!
