We had an unbe-leaf-able time at the pumpkin patch with our Wonder Mentoring Program! Youth and their mentors enjoyed fun fall activities and made meaningful connections with other matches. We’re grateful for special experiences like this that help our youth grow and bond together as a community. 🍂🎃

A special thank you to one of our mentors, Brian, for sponsoring this fun event.

Meet Ria! Ria serves as Controller on our Finance team. She earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from CSU, Sacramento and brings 26 years of accounting and finance experience, including a decade in behavioral health. She leverages her financial leadership and industry expertise to support the organization's mission and operations.

Ria is passionate about making a positive impact in the community she calls home. While she may not work directly with youth and families, she knows her role helps make critical programs and services possible. She finds it rewarding to contribute behind the scenes, using her skills and experience to support meaningful outcomes and help ensure individuals and families receive the support they need most.

Fun Fact: Ria loves LEGOs and has created her own LEGO city, affectionately known as “LEGOtopolis,” right in her living room!

We loved our visit and getting to learn more about our founder, Jane Stanford. Her legacy is incredibly inspiring, and we’re proud to carry it forward through our work supporting youth and families across California.

Add her exhibit to your must-see list now through May 2028.

We are proud to celebrate our FYP team and Associate Director of Policy & Advocacy for contributing to an important conversation at the Sacramento County Behavioral Health Commission about the value, equity, and future of Peer Specialists in our behavioral health workforce.

Alongside community partners, they advocated for equitable compensation, sustainable career pathways, and greater recognition of lived experience as expertise, helping advance this important conversation.

A special congratulations to Cassidy Paige, FYP Program Manager, and Sydney Gurrola-Bice, Associate Director of Policy & Advocacy, who were recognized for their service as commissioners. We are especially proud of Cassidy's leadership as Co-Chair, helping elevate community voices and lived-experience perspectives in this critical space. 💙

We are proud to stand alongside the California Alliance of Child and Family Services in supporting advocacy efforts that helped move AB 173 to the Governor's desk.

With AB 173 now signed, California will restore a dedicated "Press 3" option through the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, connecting LGBTQ+ youth in crisis with specially trained counselors.

This is an important step toward ensuring LGBTQ+ young people have access to affirming, responsive support when they need it most. We're proud to continue advocating alongside our partners for resources that help every young person feel seen, supported, and safe.
