Only 24 Hours Left to Make a Difference!
Did you know that over 80% of the youth we serve have never had the chance to see the snow at Boreal Mountain?

Through our partnership with La Familia Counseling Center, Inc. , we recently took 50 young people on a life-changing trip. For many, it was their first time exploring the world beyond their neighborhood, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

We need your help to keep this momentum going.

Your donations allow us to continue providing these essential "outside" experiences for the next generation. Please consider giving before the May 7th deadline!

Did you know that HYPU hosts Spring and Fall Camps almost every year? 🌿

These camps provide a hands-on way for our youth to engage with environmental science in their everyday lives. From learning about the water and rock cycles to gardening and soil decomposition, our students are becoming the next generation of environmental stewards!

We also prioritize healthy nutritional eating to fuel their minds and bodies. Support our mission to keep these programs growing!

Small actions lead to big impact. 🌱

Across California, communities are turning everyday habits like composting, recycling, growing food, and waste reduction into real change. From reducing food waste and community composting to supporting local gardens and reuse/recycling efforts, it all starts with simple choices at home.

This Earth Day, be part of it:
🥕 Put food scraps in your green bin (check local rules for what’s accepted)
🥤 Recycle and redeem your bottles & cans at a local recycling site
🌿 Support community efforts for environmental stewardship

What if that drink you just finished could actually give something back? 💰♻️

In California, beverage containers come with CRV (California Redemption Value), which means you can get cash back when you recycle them.

Getting started is simple:
🥤 Look for the “CA CRV” label
💧 Empty and dry containers
📍 Take them to a nearby CRV recycling site

New containers include large juice bottles/cans and wine/liquor containers.

It’s a small habit to reduce waste, create a cleaner community, and put a little money back in your pocket.

✅ Cash in empty CRV beverage containers at a recycling site.
