🕯️ PRAYER OF STILLNESS, SURRENDER & DIVINE CALM
Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You on Day 6 of this consecration with a heart ready to rest in Your presence. Today, Lord, You call me into stillness. You call me to lay down the noise, the rush, the pressure, the internal battles, and the weight of my own thoughts. You say, “Be still and know that I am God.” So today, Father, I answer that call. I come into stillness—not as an escape, but as surrender. Not as inactivity, but as intentional connection. Not as silence, but as sacred listening.
Lord, I quiet myself before You. I slow my breathing. I settle my mind. I calm my spirit. I release tension in my shoulders, heaviness in my chest, and clutter in my thoughts. I let every distraction fade into the background. I cast every care, every concern, every worry at Your feet. For You are God—and I am not. You are in control—and I am not. You are sovereign—and I surrender.
Father, I confess that at times life becomes loud. My mind becomes crowded. My heart becomes overwhelmed. My spirit becomes stretched. But today, I step into the peace that only stillness can bring. I step into the awareness of Your presence. I step into the knowing that You are with me, for me, guiding me, covering me, and speaking to me.
Today, Lord, I choose to be still.
Father, teach me to rest in You. Not the kind of rest that comes from sleep, but the rest that comes from trust. Trust that You are God. Trust that You are working. Trust that You are fighting for me. Trust that You are moving even when I cannot see movement. Trust that You are speaking even when I cannot yet hear the words.
Lord, stillness is surrender—and today, I surrender. I surrender the urge to fix it. I surrender the urge to understand everything. I surrender the urge to control outcomes. I surrender the urge to rush ahead. I surrender the urge to worry about what’s next. I surrender the urge to lean on my own strength. I surrender the urge to overthink, overperform, and overextend.
Be still, my soul.
Be still, my mind.
Be still, my emotions.
Be still, my spirit.
Holy Spirit, fill the quiet places. Fill the stillness with Your presence. Whisper to my heart. Minister to the parts of me that have been weary. Heal the areas that have been tense. Calm the anxieties I didn’t speak. Lift the burdens I didn’t say out loud. Let this stillness become a sanctuary where You meet me and move in me.
Lord, Your Word says, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” So today, I rest. Today, I return. Today, I choose quietness over chaos and confidence over fear. Let this stillness produce strength in me. Let this stillness anchor me. Let this stillness align me.
Father, speak into the silence.
If You choose to whisper—let me hear it.
If You choose to simply draw near—let me feel You.
If You choose to say nothing—let me know that You are still God, still good, still present, still working.
Lord, remove from me the addiction to busyness. Remove the urgency of hurry. Remove the anxiety of doing. Remove the fear that rises when things become quiet. Teach me the discipline of being still in Your presence. Teach me to sit at Your feet without agenda. Teach me to wait without restlessness. Teach me to listen without rushing. Teach me to breathe deeply in Your presence.
Be still and know…
Lord, let the knowing rise in me.
Knowing that You are God.
Knowing that You are faithful.
Knowing that You are my refuge and strength.
Knowing that You are my present help.
Knowing that You hold my future.
Knowing that You have already gone before me.
Knowing that You are enough.
Knowing that I don’t have to strive—I only need to trust.
Father, stillness is where clarity comes. Stillness is where revelation flows. Stillness is where peace settles. Stillness is where direction becomes clear. Stillness is where fear loses its grip. Stillness is where the Spirit speaks. Allow me to access the fullness of what stillness unlocks.
Remove internal noise.
Quiet emotional storms.
Silence competing voices.
Shut down mental warfare.
Let Your peace take over every part of me.
Lord, I thank You that stillness is not empty—it is full of You. Full of Your presence. Full of Your wisdom. Full of Your breath. Full of Your power. Full of Your comfort. Full of Your nearness.
So today, I rest in You.
I breathe in Your peace.
I exhale every burden.
I lean into Your presence.
I sit before Your throne.
I trust Your hand.
I quiet my soul.
Father, seal this stillness in me. Let it follow me throughout the day. Let it guard my heart in conversations, decisions, responsibilities, and moments of pressure. Let it be the posture of my spirit—not just today, but throughout this entire fast and beyond.
And with a surrendered heart I say:
Be still, my soul… and know that He is God.
In Jesus’ mighty and peaceful name I pray—Amen.
