Today, the California Dept of Water resources announced the availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the proposed Delta Tunnel project. The public comment period closes on October 22. There will be three virtual public hearings in Sept that provide the public an opportunity to offer comments as well.

The biggest threat to the Delta ecosystem is the unsustainable diversion of river flows both upstream and from the Delta itself. We need updated, science-based, water quality standards that protect native fish and wildlife species, and the people who rely on and enjoy a vibrant San Francisco Bay estuary, which includes the Delta.

The Port of San Diego Commissioners met on Thursday to discuss Seaport, and the major redevelopment to replace Seaport Village.
Thanks to several of our Tuna Harbor Dockside Market customers who showed up to speak on behalf of the fishing industry and keeping the fishermen’s market at or near its present location.
The good news is that the Commissioners heard it loud and clear and told the developer to make changes to include the fishing community recommendations.
