Raney Dawn Martin Cottle, 39, of Sacramento, California was sitting in her garage on the evening of September 21, 2016 when she was tragically hit by a stray bullet from a drive-by shooting. Raney fought for her life for a week and transitioned on September 26, 2016

Her 6 children were in the home at the time of the shooting and thankfully they were not injured. She was a beloved mother of 6 chil

dren, 1 whom she adopted when he was a year old, a loving wife, daughter, sister, niece, grandmother, aunty and dear friend. Friends of Raney say she was a beautiful person both inside and out and they say she will truly be missed by all that knew her. No one can understand understand how someone can drive down a street shooting with complete disregard for human life. Raneys children lost their father 2 years ago and depended solely on her for their care. An unexpected loss has deeply impacted this family. Sayviona Johnson-Cooper passed away at just 31 years old. She was vibrant, loving, and cherished by so many.

She leaves behind a beautiful 13-year-old daughter who is now facing life without her mother. No child should have to navigate that kind of heartbreak.
