This week, we had the opportunity to welcome the Minnesota Pork Leadership Cohort to California for four days of learning, conversations and a firsthand look at 's industry and the diverse agricultural industries we work alongside.

Throughout their visit, the group made stops at Ottenwalter Showpigs, Sun Valley Rice Mill, the UC Davis CLEAR Center, Yosemite Foods Inc., the Almond Board of California, Save Mart, Farmers Warehouse Company and Driscoll's experiencing everything from pork production and processing to research, retail, feed, rice, almonds and specialty crops.

The week also created opportunities for meaningful conversations over dinner with Jake Parnell of Cattlemen’s Livestock Marketing, the California Grain & Feed Association and members of the California Pork Producers Association Board of Directors.

While pork production may look different in Minnesota and California, it was great to learn from each other and continue building relationships across the country.
