The Sacramento Ghostbusters unit responded to a distress call on Saturday, June 6th, to safeguard Fairytale Town from the threat posed by Stay Puft. Alongside Ecto Fleet Alliance West Coast, Terror Dog Squad, Butte Strong, and Yuba Sutter Teams, the Sac GB family of teams provided a memorable experience for kids and families. We would like to take a moment to honor the life and legacy of Jeanne Whatley — mother of our founder Andrew Whatley, she was a woman whose support, encouragement, and love helped shape the very foundation of the Sacramento Ghostbusters.

Jeanne was more than just a supporter — she was one of our first believers. From the beginning, she encouraged us to use this team not just as a passion project, but as a force for good in our community. Her belief in giving back and helping others continues to guide everything we do.

She was also a driving inspiration behind the creation of this team, which was built to honor the memory of Andrew’s father — and the special bond they shared through a love of Ghostbusters. Andrew turned that love and loss into something meaningful, and Jeanne was there every step of the way, lifting us up.

She was deeply loved by our founders and by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering support will never be forgotten.

We will continue to carry her spirit with us — in every event, every smile we bring, and every life we touch.

Rest easy, Jeanne. You will be missed beyond words.

City of Trees Parade & Mardi Gras Festival
February 22nd, 3PM - 9PM

The biggest Mardi Gras parade in California is back for its fourth year, celebrating all of Sacramento's diverse dance, music, and culture! Rolling down Capitol Mall from the Capitol West Steps and into Old Sacramento, this spectacular cultural showcase will include more than 1,300 performers, including: dance troupes, marching bands, a pet parade, LED fire-spinners, "mutant" desert vehicles, costumers, and more.

Support this Mardi Gras nonprofit and enjoy it all with a cold, adult beverage at the official festival grounds at 7th and Capitol Mall, tickets on sale now! The festival includes live music and aerial performances, food and drink, giant art cars on display, and interactive fun for kids like giant bubbles, face-painting, and a build-your-own Mardi Gras float contest using mini-bricks and figurines.

We're thrilled to announce that our recent Toys for Tots drive, was a resounding success! Thanks to the generosity of our community, we collected a staggering 1112 toys for children in need. ✨ A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, and a big shout-out to our dedicated team members who volunteered their time to make this event possible. Thank you to Five Below in Rocklin, Ca for letting us collect at your amazing store!👻🐶

The Sac Ghostbusters and Terror Dog Squad had been working hard to collect toys for Toys For Tots - Lincoln - CA. One of our favorite events is watching families come collect toys and gifts for their families at the Toy Distribution Event! Thank you Toys for Tots for letting us be a part of this amazing event! We are still collecting today and tomorrow at Five Below in Rocklin CA!
