Thrilling to watch the National Registry nomination process.

We were very happy to attend the nomination yesterday of Oakland’s 16th Street Train Station recommended for the National Registry here at the capital in Sacramento. Prominent preservationist, William Burg, gave an excellent presentation to the commission on the historic importance of not only the building; but also the deep influence the property had on cultivating community during its time. A story that parallels that of the North Sacramento School.

Congratulations to Felecia & Naomi for bringing the train station’s story to light. We look forward to working with your team to bring both projects to an adaptive reuse to benefit the communities they are in.

Contact us to learn more about the 16th Street Train Station in Oakland or the North Sacramento School here in Old North Sacramento.
