EAA Chapter 52 Sacramento

EAA Chapter 52 Sacramento Chapter 52 is one of nearly 1000 chapters supporting aviation through education, social and flight. EAA Chapter 52 Sacramento is one of those chapters.

Experimental Aircraft Association operates through over 1000 chapters internationally. Created in 1953 as a forum for the home built aircraft movement the EAA has grown to over 80,000 members and a dozen special interest sub-groups within the organization. We are a non-profit volunteer organization that is dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of general aviation. We welcome all interested in

aviation no matter your level of participation. This is a family friendly group as is the national organization. Chapter 52 holds it's monthly meeting at 7:00pm on the last Tuesday of the month at Sacramento Executive Airport (KSAC),. Hangar 27 - Contact any of the officers for access code and entry point. Guests are always welcome and encouraged to attend. We have interesting guest speakers, informative presentations, share information and resources, and just simply have a good time with friends who love aviation. Chapter 52 membership benefits are numerous as well. Members can participate in all of our events, attend general meetings, take advantage of seminars, and fly in our Young Eagles program, just to name a few. Members also receive our monthly newsletter "The Wingflap". The 60+ members of Chapter 52 are a diverse group of aviation enthusiasts from the Sacramento area and beyond. Diverse in age, interests, projects, and occupations. It is not necessary to be a pilot to belong to EAA or Chapter 52. Our many non-pilot members are committed to promoting general aviation through participation in the many and varied activities the Chapter sponsors each year. Chapter 52 members have completed or are currently building a variety of aircraft including Thorp, Lancair, Vans RV models, Kitfox, Glassair, and many more. Other members who fly, but are not interested in building, own or rent production aircraft from Cessna, Katana, Piper, Grumman, and Stinson to name a few. The Chapter hosts numerous fly-ins, fly-outs, pancake breakfasts, and picnics throughout the year. We present educational programs for both novice and experienced flyers and participate in programs such as the new Eagles Program , designed to introduce the non-flying adult community to the value and joy of flight through a mentor pilot. Visitors and guests are always welcome at a Chapter 52 event. What better way to see first-hand the fun we have, and the wonderful people involved in our chapter. Chapter 52 events are designed for the entire family. If you have children who are interested in flying, let us introduce them to aviation through our Young Eagles program. If you fly, would like to learn to fly, or if you just have a love for aviation in general, please accept our invitation to attend our next monthly general meeting.
