Girls Rock Sacramento helps girls, trans, and gender-expansive youth build self esteem through music and social justice education, collaboration, empowerment, a supportive community of peers and mentors, and the development of leadership skills.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, three of our campers have had to withdraw from camp next month, and since we’re in the process of building all the bands, we’re looking for three rockers to play guitar! TOMORROW! FREE CONCERT! Join our GRS youth alumni band Wisteria as they kick off tomorrow night’s Pops in the Park show at Bertha Henschel park at 6pm! Then Lewd Jaw plays 2nd and The Nickel Slots Official IG are headlining. Bring blankets and chairs, a picnic, and allllll your friends and family! We’ll have GRS merch for sale too. ☀️🌻💕

Good morning! We’re still buzzing from yesterday’s record-smashing ! Sacramento, you truly showed up for our entire nonprofit community, raising over $21k for (we surpassed our goal!) and over $15 MILLION for 886 local charities combined! The funds we raised will go directly toward our youth music programs—helping put instruments into participants’ hands, and creating safe, supportive spaces for them to collaborate, express their creativity, and get LOUD! Thanks again! And to those who joined us for karaoke at the last night: Y’all rock!!! 🎸 🎉✨🎶🎤
