Welcome new SRA Elite member

Jamie Hunyor is an ultrarunner and botanist based in Nevada City, California. After years of organic vegetable farming in the Sierra foothills, Jamie rediscovered trail running on the South Yuba Trail. In his first season of racing ultramarathons, he won the Siskiyou Outback 100k, clocked a 3:17 50k at Ruth Anderson Memorial Endurance Run, and finished 8th at the JFK 50 Mile. In 2026, he’s stepping up to the Canyons 100k & also taking his first shot at the 100 mile distance. When he’s not running, he’s somewhere off-trail looking for rare plants on ridge tops & in steep drainages in the Tahoe National Forest.

CIM was .runs marathon debut (he picked a good one!). He ran a 2:50:48, with teammate right being him with a CIM PR of 2:50:50. Nice work!

Jenica Seawell ran a strong 2:42:29 at this year’s CIM Marathon—a solid PR from her 2:45 in 2021. This training block meant 4 a.m. wake-ups and constant adaptation as a new mom, but that flexibility paid off on race day. Jenica is proud of the work she put in and of getting faster after welcoming her first child. She is looking forward to spring races after the holidays. Congratulations 🎉

CIM was Lauren Ferrara’s first marathon as a Master runner, and she dropped her PR by two and a half minutes, running her first sub 2:50 race. .dietitian.lauren crossed the finish in 2:48:34, leading the SRA Women’s Masters Team to the win at CIM. Way to go, Lauren!
