Union Gospel Mission Sacramento

Union Gospel Mission Sacramento All of the items, food, and services are provided without charge. We are open for drop-off seven days a week, 8 AM—8 PM.

Since 1962, the Union Gospel Mission has provided food, clothing, shelter, and a life-changing Gospel message to Sacramento's homeless and struggling populations. Union Gospel Mission remains a shining light providing more than 8,000 monthly meals, clothing, hygiene items, shelter, a life-changing gospel message, and an in-house Christ-centered recovery program to the homeless and poor of Sacramento 365 days a year. The Mission operates without tax or government support and is funded entirely by the generous donations of individuals and organizations in the community. Please consider donating to the Mission, and remember that we are always looking for clothing and assorted items for our Men’s Shelter and Women’s Clothing Closet. Our website, www.ugmsac.com, lists the most current needs.

Sometimes we forget where Matt was... enslaved to alcohol, running from grief he didn't know how to face.

Part 2 coming soon.

Looking back at our Renovation Dedication, we're grateful to have had the opportunity to celebrate this milestone with so many donors, volunteers, city officials, program participants, and staff who make the work we do possible.

The Lord has blessed us with this campus and the ability to steward it well. We cannot forget the generosity that has brought us here.

Thank you to those who gave towards every nail, brush of paint, and floor tile. We have a new space to care for the least, the last, and the lost because of you. Thank you for showing them care and dignity, making sure they will have a refuge to turn to for generations to come.

Here's to the next 60 years!

Another day, another haircut in the Women’s Clothes Closet. ✂️

Thank you for being the reason these women are able to receive clothing, hygiene items, showers, haircuts, and the hope of the Gospel every Tuesday and Thursday on campus!

This month marks 40 years of service by our Frontline Director, Stephen Jarrett.

What some don’t know was that he was once a participant of our recovery program.

After overcoming alcohol addiction and graduating from the program, he came on staff to use his skills to serve others.

After four decades, we commend his commitment, faithfulness, and dedication to the cause of the Mission: reaching the least, the last, and the lost for the Gospel.

Thank you, Stephen, for dedicating so much of your life to caring for others, and for being used by the Lord to change lives. 💙
