Today, we’re spotlighting Suzann and Dominic Passanisi — devoted grandparents and proud members of the 65 Roses Club, a group of committed monthly donors whose steady support helps fund life‑saving CF research and care.

💛 Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month 💛

As we come to the close of this month, we’re honored to share one more powerful story from our community.

Meet Hardy, a brave 12-year-old living with cystic fibrosis. Through every challenge, Hardy and his family continue to show incredible strength and determination while raising awareness and advocating for a better future.

"This is Hardy. He is 12 years old and has Cystic Fibrosis DD508.
He has been hospitalized over 7 times and over 13 surgeries. The reason we raise awareness is because CF has no cure and we want to help Hardy and so many others continue to fight this disease with less and less hospitalizations and eventually less treatments.
We raise awareness by posting on social media and by making people aware of Hardy’s CF journey. We will continue to do so until CF stands for cure found."

Thank you to Hardy and his mom, Tiffaney, for sharing their journey and reminding us why awareness matters. And thank you to everyone who helped us shine a light on the CF community this month—your voices bring us closer to a cure. 💛

What a wonderful day at Walnut Creek Great Strides on May 9th! We are so grateful to everyone who came out, walked with us, and supported the mission through your fundraising efforts. Your dedication and enthusiasm truly make a difference for those living with cystic fibrosis.

Even though the walk has come to an end, there’s still time to fundraise and help us reach our goal of $79,000! Every dollar counts and keeps the momentum going.

This week, we’re proud to feature Anna, who is living with CF in the Bay Area and using her voice to make a difference. Through sharing her journey on social media, Anna brings visibility to life with CF and connects with others in the community. This year, she also served as BreatheCon Co-Chair, helping create space for education, connection, and empowerment.

💙 Community Powered Fundraising 💙

Team Matilda’s Fox Force knocked it out of the park this year thanks to a creative passion fundraiser hosted by the McKellar family at their home in Alameda the weekend before the walk.

Their one‑day Art, Craft & Bake Sale featured handmade ceramics, eye‑catching pens, and adorable fox‑themed cupcakes—all created by Matilda, her parents, and friends. The low‑key, front‑yard event ran from 10 AM–2 PM and raised over $4,000 in just one afternoon! 🦊🧁🎨

A perfect reminder that simple, low‑stakes gatherings can have a powerful impact when it comes to fundraising—and bringing us closer to a cure. 💪💙
