A lovely Soroptimist SIGS lunch meeting today at 19 Handles! Our speaker, Gina Fleming from Sacramento Splash, shared how their hands-on science education and outdoor adventures help children discover, enjoy, and care for the natural world. We also had the pleasure of inducting two new members—Debbie and Megan. Welcome to SIGS! 🌿💙

What a great start to the new SIGS year! Our meeting on Tuesday was held in a new (for the club) location, and we inducted four new members officially into the club.
Please welcome new members Antoinette Draxler, Robyn Devoll, Sharie Hamer, and Jennifer Saduger.
Super excited that we have several more new members to induct at the upcoming meeting in October. (😊Cindy, Debbie, Kelly, and Megan)!

It was a lovely evening gathering for the SIGS Summer Mixer this past Tuesday. Fajitas and fun were on tap. Cindra S. coordinated and led us in a fun icebreaker, and we learned so much about all of our members and guests. We are excited to start our year with several new members.
Deep gratitude to all who helped on set up and take down, This group of wonderful women really knows how to, “Have fun, and get it done”.

Enjoyable and informative club lunch meeting yesterday. Jennifer Saduger this is a certified Death Doula. She brought a wealth of information and resources on everything from having the right documents in place, to decluttering your home now as tomorrow isn’t promised. What might seemingly be a difficult topic was made lighter by a very open conversation among members.

Our SIGS meeting this last week was a site tour of AcademyStay in Sacramento.  “Empowering Foster Youth Through Community, Stability, and Opportunity”.
It was great to see firsthand how this program is empowering aged-out foster use to have a foundation in community while supporting their success in their education. It was a delight meeting several of their student residents, and to tour their community vegetable garden, and apartments.
