Enjoyable and informative club lunch meeting yesterday. Jennifer Saduger this is a certified Death Doula. She brought a wealth of information and resources on everything from having the right documents in place, to decluttering your home now as tomorrow isn’t promised. What might seemingly be a difficult topic was made lighter by a very open conversation among members.

Our SIGS meeting this last week was a site tour of AcademyStay in Sacramento.  “Empowering Foster Youth Through Community, Stability, and Opportunity”.
It was great to see firsthand how this program is empowering aged-out foster use to have a foundation in community while supporting their success in their education. It was a delight meeting several of their student residents, and to tour their community vegetable garden, and apartments.
