There is only one thing that makes a beer fest even better and that is some fantastic music. Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza, number six on the top ten Beer Festivals in the World, features craft beers from across California paired with performances by Los Lobos, The California Honeydrops & Trombone Shorty. We are putting this one on our list!

Ladies Only Brewing Competition

Since being established in 1994, Queen of Beer Women’s Homebrewing Competition has been known for an unparalleled commitment to “Supporting the Future Women of Industry”. It’s this standard of excellence that has provided the impetus for us to grow into the brewing competition we are today.

The idea of a women’s homebrew competition was born on a hot August afternoon in the Gold Country foothills of Northern California. Two brewers from the opposite ends of the the Golden State met over a taste of Lost Coast’s Downtown Brown. Frustrated by the lack of recognition for their own skills, the women decided a women’s homebrew competition was their release!

The Queen of Beer Women’s Homebrew Competition is open to all female produced home beers. Beers produced on the premises of commercial breweries, including brew-on-premises facilities are ineligible. Beers produced by, or with the assistance of persons of the male gender are ineligible.

Visit our website www.queenofbeer.beer to learn key submission dates, how to enter, ways to volunteer, sign up for judging, and to contact us via email. Cheers!
