Executive Board Election - Call for Nominations!

The California Fire Chiefs Association (CalChiefs) is now accepting nominations for the office of Southern Division Director. Upon assuming the office of President-Elect on October 27, 2026, current Southern Division Director Adam Loeser of the Fullerton Fire District will create a vacancy in the Southern Division Director position.

Nominations and/or letters of interest are requested no later than October 15, 2026, and should be submitted to Administrative Director Carmen Berry at [email protected].

Candidates must also provide a letter from their manager or their jurisdiction’s Board of Directors approving their service in a CFCA elected office, if elected.

25 years ago today, we remember the day that forever changed our nation. We remember the lives of the men, women, and children who were lost, and we honor the ultimate sacrifice made by the first responders who answered the call to serve and protect.

As the California Fire Chiefs Association, we strive to carry their legacy forward by advocating for the needs of the Fire Service, strengthening the bonds that unite those who serve, and supporting the health and well-being of our members and the communities they protect.

Through the contributions of our membership, we continue to evolve as an organization, striving to make California safer from fires and ensuring that we are prepared to protect those who need us most.

Today, we acknowledge that 9/11 will forever remind us of the tragic loss of life and the devastation experienced by families and communities, while also reminding us of the bravery, courage, and selflessness of those who serve in the Fire Service.

This September, CalChiefs is participating in the 2026 Su***de Prevention & Awareness Safety Stand Down, a month-long commitment to raising awareness and supporting meaningful conversations across the fire service. Weekly resources and tools will be shared throughout the month.
