To ALL our AMAZING volunteers for our 2026 graduates from AIEP SCUSD your contribution to the community is greatly appreciated and we are thankful to have the love and support from all whom have lent a hand or support in any way.Thank you so much for your kindness, support annnnd all the hard work you put in to celebrating our 2026 Graduates with their families.

Hello all,

We’re excited to offer a family night on Monday, May 18th.
We will work with Kathalena Avendano to create earrings (beading for beginners) and the NYS Ambassadors will host a reading and game night for youth.
There will be pizza and snacks for all. Please RSVP so we can be prepared with the correct amount of food.

Join us as we recognize the accomplishments of SCUSD AIEP students in Kindergarten, 6th, 8th, and 12th grades.
The evening will feature speakers, a catered meal, and gifts for the students.

SCUSD AIEP Summer Program -Limited space, sign up today!
The SCUSD American Indian Education Program will host a summer program for our incoming 2nd-6th grade students June 15-June 18 at Washington Elementary, located at 520 18th Street. We will not run program on June 19th in observance on Juneteenth.

We’re planning field trips to the Sac State Aquatic Center, American River College, and Six Flags. We are still confirming the activities they will be doing on site at Washington Elementary. To enroll your child in this program, please fill out the provided form. Please be aware that additional field trip documents will be given to the students along with a mandatory guardian meeting in preparation for the scheduled field trips.

Dates: June 15-18 (no program on June 19th)
Time: 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM
Who: Incoming 2nd-6th grade SCUSD students, we also invite outgoing 6th graders to participate.

Scholarship opportunity Open to High School Graduates in the Sacramento Region.
Must be nominated by someone who can describe why the student is deserving of the scholarship. Self nominations are acceptable but please provide the contact information of a parent/guardian.
Must include the name of the graduate, name of high school, plans after graduation and why the student deserves this scholarship.
