It's Giving Tuesday!

Today, you can help shape the future of architecture by supporting the California Architectural Foundation. CAF is dedicated to opening doors for the next generation—through scholarships that reduce financial barriers, the capX Internship and Job Shadow Program that connects emerging professionals to real-world experience, and Architecture by the Book, which brings architect-led lessons into underserved K–12 classrooms across California.

Your support today, in any amount, will directly fuel these programs and the future of our profession: https://loom.ly/EzCMEYU

Give today and your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $7,000! Your generosity goes twice as far, thanks to the generously of Scott Gaudineer, AIA, Betsey Olenick Dougherty, FAIA, and Brian Dougherty, FAIA.

Giving Tuesday is tomorrow, December 2nd!

Take a look at our 2025 Annual Report and Giving Guide to see the impact your gift can make.

This Giving Tuesday, your donation will help unlock $12,000 in matching funds thanks to Scott Gaudineer, AIA; Rocky Rockefeller, AIA; Betsey Olenick Dougherty, FAIA; and Brian Dougherty, FAIA.

This Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, your gift can help open doors for recent architecture graduates like Sharon Lopez.

Many emerging professionals encounter a significant gap between their academic training and the real-world experience needed to begin a career. Sharon Lopez, a UC Berkeley graduate, shared how difficult it was to navigate internships and early career opportunities, and how essential programs like CAF’s California Architectural Practice Experience Program (capX) are to help bridge the gap.

Your Giving Tuesday donation helps to continue and grow the capX program, opening new opportunities for paid internships, job shadowing opportunities and increasing equitable pathways for architecture students and emerging professionals across California.

With $7,000 in matching funds available on December 2, your impact can go even further.

Design the future! Learn more and donate early: https://loom.ly/EzCMEYU

Today, we commemorate Juneteenth—a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States, the two years it took for news of the Emancipation Proclamation to reach enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, and the ongoing journey toward freedom and equality for all Americans.
*
This Juneteenth, is an opportunity to remember the hardships, struggle, and challenges of Black architects who were pioneers in the field, and our ongoing commitment to diversity.
*
We celebrate the resilience, creativity, and innovation of Black architects and pledge to continue working toward a future where everyone has a seat at the design table.
