Focused Focused: Developing Survivors From the Negatives, is a program that allows individuals to use photography as form of creative therapy.

In the 9 classes, participants will address what brings them to the point of self-help and healing discovery, while developing amazing images and stories in a safe space. At the end of the course the students have a photography exhibition to showcase their work. They are encouraged to invite the people closest to them to begin a dialogue outside of the class. The aim is to create a healthy self, t

he foundation for a positive family environment. In addition, there’s an abundance of resources that are exchanged and an online community support system for students to check in with one another and meet newly Focused family. To bring focus to your organization.

This year, my birthday wasn’t centered on a big celebration — it was rooted in meaningful work. I spent the day supporting people on set and standing alongside my awesome teammates at Ethical Narative as a Associate Clinical Social worker exactly where I’m meant to be. The bonus was celebrating with after. There was something deeply affirming about that — serving, holding space, and doing work that truly matters.

Throughout the month, I made space to celebrate — sharing laughter and connection at a community gathering with friends. We were intentional about honoring the birthdays within our circle, surprising a special friend with flowers and a thoughtful gift, and celebrating others who were marking another year around the sun. It felt meaningful to pause and pour into one another — recognizing and uplifting those who consistently show up for others. 🌸

If January taught me anything, it’s that birthdays evolve. They become less about the spotlight and more about alignment, gratitude, and the people walking alongside you.

Grateful for meaningful work — and even more meaningful friendships.

Family is how we show up for each other. I’m 50, he’s 48, and we’re choosing prevention over burnout, balance over hustle, and self-care over silence. Checking in. Walking together.

Encouraging rest, health, and joy—because caring for ourselves helps us stay present for the people we love.

Take a moment today to check in with someone you love — or with yourself. Small choices create lasting presence. ❤️
