Josh's Heart, Inc.

Josh's Heart, Inc. Bringing awareness to the public of the stories behind the addicted and homeless, while bringing a message to those suffering that they matter. EIN: 81-4248036

Josh was always a sweet-hearted sensitive boy. He struggled with insecurities his whole life. He had a heart for homeless people and would literally cry at times when he saw them. Josh was born into a family that had the alcoholism gene on both sides. He also struggled with depression. In his teenage years he tried alcohol, along with many others...unfortunately this became his way to feel better

and in no time was trapped in the horrible disease of alcoholism. About Us

Josh’s Heart, Inc. We have created Josh's Heart, in memory of Joshua Brent Moore, who died August 12, 2016, from complications due to alcoholism at just 32 years old. Though Josh suffered from alcoholism and homelessness throughout his life, it is not what defined him. He was a kind hearted, loving, and tremendously giving human being. He had friends and family just like anyone else. While others saw a homeless person asking for money on the street, others saw a brother, son, cousin and uncle who loved deeply. While most would see a person in and out of rehabilitation, others saw a friend who would give what little he had to help them out. Like many others in our homeless/addicted communities, his situation often left him feeling insignificant, depressed and unlovable. We, Josh’s Heart, aspire to reach out to these people who feel lost and forgotten. The people who have been cast aside and feel worthless due to their current circumstances. We strive to show these people the TRUTH- That THEY ARE MORE THAN THEIR CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES. They matter, are loved, and were placed on this earth by God with purpose. Our Goals

- To continually provide Blessing Backpacks filled with grooming essentials, seasonal items, snacks and waters to those out on the street who do not have anywhere to live.
- To provide addiction awareness and education to family members and friends as well as those at risk.
- To organize events and drives that will help the homeless and addicted communities. We will continue to trust in God to lead us in the direction needed. Josh’s Heart is a reflection of the huge heart that Josh Moore had. Through Josh’s Heart Inc, his heart can keep on beating.

Alcohol can harm individuals, families, and communities, yet it's often celebrated. Its impact extends beyond the drinker, affecting relationships, mental health, and future generations. The more we understand its effects, the more we can choose healthier traditions.

Human beings are perishing on the streets of our city. Death is a reality for all, but on the streets around the Mission, it seems to be a closer enemy. Whether from violence, drugs, or alcohol, people are in danger of being lost forever every single day.

Yesterday, a man tragically died on the streets outside our Mission. Today, his mom and sister came to grieve, putting out letters, flowers, and candles in his memory.

Word spread, and Chris, our Director of Chaplaincy, went out to minister to their hearts, praying with them and comforting them.

We can’t save everyone on the streets - that’s God’s job. But we can be there to minister to the broken and hurting and offer a better way. We can be there to throw them a lifeline amidst addiction, food in times of hunger, and shelter from wind and rain. Most importantly, we can offer them lasting hope in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that if they repent and believe, they can be saved not just now, but for eternity.

Please pray for this grieving family, that the Lord would comfort them and bring them to Himself. Please pray for our frontline team, our staff, and volunteers who serve tirelessly to minister to the hurting around us.

And pray for those on the street - that the Lord would not just save their bodies from peril, but that He would shower His grace and save their souls.

Today was a special day! Blessing those who need more than most at Christmas is an opportunity we were blessed to do today. And others joined us to be the hands and feet of Jesus too! God gets all the glory! Today we talked to PEOPLE, prayed with them, listened to them, and tried to bring a little light to their darkness. They got brand new jackets, sleeping bags, tarps, blankets, and stockings filled with goodies!!!!!
Awesome volunteers stocked their cars and we all went out to different places in the community. Another special way to remember Josh was an added benefit. “While we were delivering, our 10 year old grandson, Lincoln, said to me, each time a give out the present to a homeless person I feel happier and happier.”
Thank you again, to those who donate to our non-profit to make this happen! And thank you to the volunteers who always support us!!!!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!! Love, Josh’s ❤️
