This Thursday was graduation or JLS 26–2 in Vista. YM/CPL Jaxson Wood graduated, YM/SSgt Silas Greco participated as cadre, & UC Hinds was there as school staff. Can’t wait to see where all of these new Junior leaders take their new skills! Next stop, SLS… but first, the Regiment encampment before we go home!

This month, we celebrated a special milestone as YM/SGTMAJ Akshaya Krishna graduated and officially retired from the Young Marines.
Akshaya faithfully served the Sacramento Young Marines, the 1st CA Regiment, Division 6, and the Young Marines organization with outstanding leadership, integrity, and dedication. She has been an example to so many, and her impact on our unit will be felt for years to come.
Akshaya is now beginning her next chapter as a member of the United States Air Force Academy, Class of 2030. We are incredibly proud of her and know she will continue to lead and serve with excellence.
Congratulations, Akshaya! Thank you for everything you’ve given to the Young Marines.

Today was a beautiful day to support the Northern California Special Olympics! Youth from the Sacramento Young Marines (YM), the Florin Law Academy (FLA), and the Sacramento Sheriffs Explorers all assisted with duties, such as set up, Color Guard, cheering on runners, and tear down. The Sacramento Sheriff’s Activities League (SAL) sponsored runners from FLA & YM to run the 5K and 1 mile races. Canes provided the VIPs and the volunteers with a tasty lunch.
