Content posted by other users on Troop 136 social media pages does not necessarily reflect the opinions or policies of the Troop, Scouting BSA, Sacramento Zoo, or the Golden Empire Council. Links to content on other websites should not be
construed as an endorsement of the organizations, entities, views or content contained therein. Troop 136 is not responsible for the content of those external websites. By posting content to any Troop 136 social media page, users understand and acknowledge that this information is available to the public, and that other participants may use posted information beyond the control of the Troop. Users who do not wish to have information they have made available via these sites used, published, copied and/or reprinted, should not post on our social media pages. Troop 136 administrators regularly review content posted by other users to the official Troop 136 social media pages. Troop 136 reserves the right, but is not obligated, to remove content from or ban users from our social media sites for any reason. If you plan to share content on our social media pages, observe the following:
Stay on topic. When commenting under an existing post, please keep comments on topic. However if you have a question about Scouting or the Troop, feel free to post it and we will try to answer it in a timely manner. Unauthorized commercial solicitations are not permitted on Troop 136 social media pages and will be removed. Users who continuously post unauthorized advertisements on our social media pages will risk being banned from posting. Do not use vulgar language or profanity. We welcome civilized dialogue on all issues. If you disagree with another user's opinion, please keep your comments respectful. Do not threaten, bully, or harass other users. Do not attack other users based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, s*x, gender, s*xual orientation, disability, or medical condition. Remember, two deep leadership is required on social media communications as well. Troop 136 reserves the right to remove comments and posts that contain profanity, inappropriate content, threatening or harassing language, or vulgarity. Violators will be banned from posting. Observe confidentiality laws at all times. Do not post confidential information about the Troop or Scouts. This includes name, address, telephone number, email address, etc. Please be mindful not all Scouts or families want their photo included on social media, so do not post photos of others without express written permission. Observe fair use, copyright and disclosure laws. Always give people credit for their work, and make sure you have the right to use content before you post it on social media sites.
