At NorCal American Nursing Informatics Association, we believe strengthening healthcare starts with strengthening our communities.

As informatics professionals, we spend our days improving systems, optimizing technology, and enhancing patient care—but our commitment to service doesn't stop there. Giving back is an extension of our mission, and we're proud to support organizations that are making a lasting difference throughout Northern California.

In honor of this, proceeds from our Spring Symposium were donated to Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, supporting programs that serve veterans, seniors, individuals experiencing homelessness, and families across our region.

We're excited to continue that tradition this fall. Proceeds from our upcoming Fall Symposium will benefit Aggie House at UC Davis, a student-led transitional housing shelter that provides safe, supportive housing for students experiencing housing insecurity while pursuing their education.

Together, we can invest not only in the future of healthcare, but in the future of our communities. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our chapter mission of education, innovation, and service.

✨ AI isn't the future of healthcare—it's the present.

Grateful to everyone who joined last night's AI at the Bedside: Real Talk on Promise, Pitfalls, and Patient Care. It was an incredible conversation with nursing informatics leaders and healthcare professionals from across the country about what AI means for patient care today—and tomorrow.

One thing was clear: AI has tremendous potential, but its success depends on the people using it. That means building AI fluency, prioritizing patient safety, and ensuring technology supports—not replaces—the clinical expertise and compassion that define healthcare.

A huge thank you to our outstanding panelists and to the ANIA New York Tri-State Chapter for partnering with us to make this event possible.

The future of healthcare isn't just about smarter technology. It's about empowering smarter, more informed clinicians to use it responsibly.
