The Knights of Peter Claver is a faith based and family centered organization with membership open to all Catholic men, women, boys and girls. Founded in 1909, it is the largest African American Catholic la organization in the world. We serve our local parish and community through daily works of charity.
As members of the Knights of Peter Claver, we create opportunities to support the parish, give back to the community and grow deeper in faith. By working together, we network around the United States dedicated to providing service to God and our fellow man.
Our membership is open to any individual who is a practicing Catholic and made their First Communion. Annually, we donate to the Mustard Seed School, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, St. Anne Parish, feed the Handicapables Group, purchase Christmas gifts for needy families, provide Thanksgiving dinner baskets to those in need and sponsor a Prayer Breakfast, Wine Sip and Mardi Gras dance.
