"The Sacramento Inclusive Economic Development Collaborative (Sac IEDC) has worked the past ten months to support our small businesses in any way we could. Whether it be helping to fill out a form, or placing a phone call to provide assistance, or walking the neighborhoods to check on how the business owners are doing. Our fifteen partner organizations have banded together and worked tirelessly to provide the expertise, access, and even a shoulder to lean on, sometimes."

Sac IEDC is proud to assist Sacramento small businesses like Top Nails on Stockton Blvd., which worked with our partner, the Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce to receive consulting assistance, and whose owners had this to say about the program:

"During the pandemic, the nail salons were forced on a shut down for four months. When I was allowed to reopen, my building had an electrical fire. I was very confused, worried and stressed about the epidemic and the situation. I was fortunate to meet Ms Mai through a referral from a friend. She enrolled me into the IEDC program. I had a one on one consultation service that helped me with accessing small business loan programs. The IEDC team was genuine and kind in helping me with how to complete the loan application process as well as providing resources giving me hope that I can get through this. I hope Ms. Mai and the IEDC team will continue to help me and other small businesses. Thank you, Top Nails"

Sac IEDC, alongside our 15 partner organizations, are proud to be working with the City of Sacramento to bring ClearScan devices to 500 impacted small businesses, churches, and organizations. The City incorporated the ClearScan devices in the plan to help fight against COVID-19 and will partner with the Sac IEDC to distribute them.

ClearScan devices may look like tablets, but they use advanced technology to do two things; detect the temperature of the person standing in front of the device, as well as detect the presence of a facial covering. In doing so, you’re able to ensure that everyone walking into your small business or organization does not have a fever, reducing the spread of COVID-19.

Sac IEDC is proud to assist Sacramento small businesses like Kids Club Martial Arts, which was nominated by the Power Inn Alliance for a grant through our partnership with Donate4Sacramento. Kids Club has had to make lots of changes to their business this year, including moving their classes outside. With all the changes that this year has brought, they've still been helping their students gain confidence and discipline, moving up the ranks of their belt system!

The Power Inn Alliance team received these kind words from the owners of Kids Club Marial Arts: "On behalf of our school and our 100 students, we want to thank you genuinely for nominating us for the grant! Times such as these are incredibly difficult and acts of kindness like this go a LONG way to support so many people. We cannot thank you enough!"

Dear Frank, Mai and the IEDC Technical Support Team,

It’s mine and Nga absolute pleasure to have met you. Our relationship with IEDC Technical Support Team over the last six month have helped us learn a lot about south Sacramento and the surrounding area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time working with you and learning about the information you have provided us regarding city, state, and federal programs for small businesses.

The IEDC Technical Support Team is a truly valuable asset to the Sacramento community. We have found you incredibly informative, dependable, and hard-working. Beyond that, very impressive communicator being Mutli-lingal, clear precise and to the point.

The IEDC Technical Support Team knowledge of small business programs and expertise has been a huge help for our businesses.

We are happy to recommend your services to others.

Best wishes,
Ron Newman and Nga Do
