Sacramento Cultural & Linguistic Center SCLC services provide the support, education and guidance to assist refugees to become full participants in American society.

Since the 1970s, SCLC has provided cultural and linguistic support to immigrant, refugee, and LEP communities, breaking barriers and fostering inclusion through advocacy, education, and direct services.

Sacramento Cultural & Linguistic Center, formerly Southeast Asian Assistance Center and prior to that the Indo Chinese Assistance Center, an interfaith Service Bureau program, has s

erved Southeast Asian refugees for 35 years (incorporated on August 20, 1990). In order to provide linguistically and culturally-responsive services to the LEP community, staff are from the communities they serve and are bilingual and bi-cultural in Vietnamese, Cambodian, Hmong, Mien, Lao, Cantonese/Mandarin, Russian, Ukrainian, Farsi, Arabic, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Dari, Pushto and Spanish. SCLC also provides assistance and support to persons experiencing difficulty in dealing with situations such as legal, health, landlord/tenant, school, community conflict, family conflict, and immigration problems.
