California’s November 3, 2026 General Election is coming up, and now is the time to make your voting plan.

📬 Oct. 5: Vote-by-mail ballots begin mailing + ballot drop-off locations open. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day.
✅ Oct. 19: Last day to register to vote
🏛️ Oct. 24: Vote centers begin opening in Voter’s Choice Act counties
🗳️ Oct. 31: Early voting locations open statewide
📅 Nov. 3: Election Day — polls are open 7 AM–8 PM

This August! Come join us for Kwentuhan on the Road and to Speak up AND get FIERCE.

Join us in Sacramento alongside Ugnay Filipino & Amado Khaya Initiative on Sunday, August 23rd for an opportunity to connect with local Filipino community members and engage in conversations of shared experiences to build collective power. Alongside this, we will be discussing issues that are most pressing to our community such as education, healthcare, immigrant rights, workers rights, voting rights, and more!

You don’t have to be a part of any of our organizations to join! This kwentuhan is being held as an opportunity to connect with new people and shape how we advocate for our future community. Your voice, your experiences, and perspectives matter!

Legislative victories don’t happen by accident — they happen when communities organize, advocate, and stay engaged.

Several key bills supported by advocates and community leaders have advanced to the second house in the California Legislature, bringing us one step closer to meaningful change.

📚 AB 2374 would establish a state-level designation recognizing colleges and universities committed to serving Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander students.

🛡️ AB 1537 would prohibit local and state law enforcement officers from taking secondary employment or volunteer roles that support federal immigration enforcement.

🏘️ AB 736 / SB 417 would place a $10 billion affordable housing bond before voters to expand affordable rental housing, increase homeownership opportunities, and support housing for people experiencing homelessness.

These bills reflect ongoing efforts to advance educational equity, race + immigrant justice, and housing stability across California.

Join & us THIS Friday for a community kwentuhan focused on the issues that matter most to our communities. Together, we'll engage in meaningful conversation, share experiences, and discuss how we can build collective power around issues such as education, healthcare, immigration policy reform, workers' rights, voting rights, and more.

This gathering is an opportunity to connect with fellow community members, learn from one another, and help shape a vision for our futures. Whether you're new to community organizing or have been involved for years, your voice and perspective are important.

Did you know Filipinos were barred from naturalization — and therefore voting — for decades? That it took until 1952 for people of Asian ancestry to even be recognized as eligible for citizenship? That history didn't disappear. It lives in every policy that makes it harder to register, harder to show up, harder to be counted.

But so does our resistance.📊 Filipino Americans showed up at 63% turnout in 2024 — one of the highest among Asian American communities. We are not a footnote. We are a force.
