SNHS is one of 70 organizations nationwide selected as a recipient of the Citi Foundation's 2026 Community Finance Initiative, a $500,000 investment.

This investment funds EmpowerHome, our initiative connecting Sacramento County families to the tools for lasting financial stability and sustainable homeownership. We serve thirteen counties, and we are building EmpowerHome here first, where our infrastructure runs deepest, as a model we can take wider once it is proven.

Saturday's Dorothy Mae Good Deeds Day served 30 homes because a group of partners chose to invest in this neighborhood alongside us. Thank you to US Bank, El Dorado Savings Bank, SMUD, PG&E, the City of Rancho Cordova, Home Depot, and Unidos for the support that made the day possible.

And thank you to every volunteer, every family, and every neighbor who came out to work, share a meal, and spend the day together. This is what "People Are Community" looks like when partnership meets action.

In Lincoln Village, neighbors, volunteers, and partners are coming together to serve 30 homes and spend the day in real fellowship with one another. This is what it looks like when a community and the people who support it decide to invest in the same place, side by side.

Bring your family and friends. Come share a meal, share a conversation, and be part of a day that proves "People Are Community" is more than a phrase.

Tomorrow is the day, and today we want to spotlight a partner who has been with us every step of the way: the City of Rancho Cordova.

This event is in Lincoln Village because the city chose to invest in this neighborhood, and that partnership is a big part of why we can serve 30 homes this year. A city that shows up for its own residents is a city worth celebrating.

On September 12, while we serve 30 homes in Lincoln Village, we are also feeding the entire neighborhood. Good deeds are not only about repairs. They are about making sure every resident, every family, every kid on that block knows they are cared for that day.

Come hungry. Come ready to be part of a neighborhood taking care of its own.

3 days to go, and today we want you to know this is not just a work day. It is a celebration.

We've got a kid zone with activities for the little ones, a drum line that will have the whole block moving, and a mariachi band bringing the sound of the neighborhood to life. While our crews are out serving 30 homes, Lincoln Village is going to feel like a festival.

4 days to go, and today is about the partners who make Dorothy Mae Good Deeds Day possible.

Thank you to US Bank, El Dorado Savings Bank, SMUD, PG&E, Unidos US, Home Depot, and the City of Rancho Cordova. Every one of these partners believed in what one day of coordinated care can do for a neighborhood, and their support is the reason we can show up for 30 homes in Lincoln Village on September 12.
