This event was definitely a favorite! We had the opportunity to join a walking tour hosted by the 2024 LGBTQ+ History Project, exploring meaningful sites tied to Sacramento’s history of LGBTQ+ activism, representation, and community. We wrapped up the evening with a happy hour at The Mercantile Saloon, a local LGBTQ-friendly bar.

Join us on a historic walking tour in Sacramento’s lavender district. Based on the 2024 LGBTQ+ Historic Experience Project conducted by the City of Sacramento, we’ll visit significant places that were part of the social movement for LGBTQ+ representation and activism in Sacramento. The walking tour will conclude at a local LGBTQ+ friendly bar for a no-host happy hour. We hope you’ll join us!
