Cancel..Cancel..Cancel...
I am so very heartbroken to announce the GSPC of NSV has been forced to cancel their Spring Field Trial March 27-28 at Quail Point. We can not find birds anywhere in the country for our trial😭😭
We searched from PA to TX to OR with no luck😳😳😳
Inspite of our best efforts of many committee members, I am left feeling like I have let everyone down for which I am humbly sorry 😞!!! The club will work to put our December WFT on with a little less drama than the past 2 years!! Thank you all for your patience 🙏

I am heartbroken to announce the POSSIBILITY that the GSPC of NSV Spring Walking Trial may have to be cancelled due to lack of birds😱😱😱😱
Quail Point is out of birds and Hastings Island has none to spare. After the struggle all year to hold field events, it is so sad to loose an opportunity for puppies to run one last time in Puppy Stakes, and for Derby youngsters to not age out of Derby....not to mention the hours so many owners have poured into their beloved dogs getting ready of this event😭😭😭 Our entries closed 5 weeks early and we have over 20 eager owners sitting on a wait list for a trial without birds right now. My disappointment is profound, to say the least!! The FT Committee will make the final call Wed if birds can not be located. Any info that can help the club get 180-200 birds for our event and allow us to hold our field trial would be deeply appreciated 🥰🥰🥰🥰

The German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Northern Sacramento Valley hosted their annual Spring Hunt Test At Quail Point Hunt Club in Woodland, CA, this past weekend, and it was a huge success. Without the participants, handlers, and their four-legged partners, there would be no event.
I would like to thank the Judges, Steve Artis, Sarah Chvilicek, Derrick, Mullin, and Aaron Fausett, for your time and support for our club’s event and the sport itself. I would like to give you a special thank you for taking the time and encouraging the handlers that ran their dogs for the very first time this past weekend. I had seen many first-timers ecstatic when they received the very first ribbon that they and their four-legged partner had earned together.
I would like to thank my gunners, Jim Simmons, who also supplied two quads, Dave Riensche, Brian Mathis, junior bird field planters Sarah and Rebekah Riensche, Grace Waymire, Carol Chadwich, and Chuck Ramage.
I would like to thank Ricardo Vyhmeister for marshaling, Brian Mathis for marshaling gunning and suppling a quad, Sandy Miller, Keith Bynum for marshaling, and my daughter Nicole Prudhel for being my secretary. I would like to thank all of my assistants Don Hicks, Tracy Zhou, Ray Pascua Darrin, and Serena Lopez.
Thank you, Ray Solander, for providing all of us with your famous breakfast burritos and lunches. It is a special thanks to Sandy and Edna Miller for helping my daughter and me navigate our first hunt test as Chairperson and Secretary.
Most of all, I was glad to get out and enjoy time with my dogs, to see old friends, and to make new ones this weekend.
Myself, My committee, and our club, thank you all!

WOOFSTOCK 2020 CANCELLATION ANNOUNCEMENT

After much discussion, research and soul searching; we have come to the sad and inevitable conclusion that we must cancel WOOFSTOCK 2020.

We researched moving to a September date. We have no guarantee from the Solano County Fairgrounds that we will have a show site to hold Woofstock, whether it be in June or September. Many of our judges are already committed to other shows in September, if those shows are even held.

The situation is changing daily and the new infection rates are also increasing significantly. We are unsure what restrictions the airlines may enforce in the near future, which would prevent judges and some exhibitors from travel.

We must also weigh the significant costs, in addition to what is already spent if we go forward and are forced to cancel. The most important issue is of course, is everyone’s health.
There is just too much uncertainty to go forward.

We are as disappointed and saddened as you and we pray for everyone’s physical and financial health.
We look forward to 4 days of Peace, Music, Dogs and our friendships in 2021! 2021 DATES- JUNE 10,11,12,13th. Let’s have a HUGE blowout party!
