On May 4, 2023, Erica West Oyedele, MAL, and Leang Ngov, Diversity MAL, resigned from the board due to concerns regarding a culture of white supremacy, audism, and a failure in board members to act in accordance to the mission and values of SaVRID. Subsequently, over the next 24 hours, Josh Anderson, DPI MAL; Cindy Farnham, Vice President; Bill Sylliaasen-Lee, Secretary; Julia Eichelberger, Deaf MAL; and Mallory Cross, MAL resigned in solidarity recognizing the harm done towards SaVRID’s BIPOC and Deaf board members. If you have any questions or concerns, please email [email protected] and the remaining board members will do their best.

Note from Mallory, after I post and email this message, my resignation will be officially effective.
