We want to share an important update: Our Annual 10 Fun Run is on pause for 2025.

This event has always been powered by Alec’s family and friends, and this year we just didn’t have the people power to bring it all together.

But please know: AFYSSC is still here, still providing scholarships, and still accepting donations to support our young athletes.

In Alec’s memory, we invite you to create your own “10 for Alec” — 10 miles, 10 laps, 10 minutes, whatever feels right — and share it with us and donate if your budget allows. Together, we can continue honoring Alec’s legacy and making an impact.

We are excited to announce the availability of Alec Flores Memorial Scholarship for the second year. This is open to all the young athletes in our community moving on to college or other professional training following high school. One $2,000 and four $500 scholarships will be awarded. APPLY BY MARCH 31!

The Eric Pomeroy Memorial Scholarship 2025 is now open for applications! If you're a high school athlete in Yuba, Sutter, or Colusa and plan to continue playing sports in college, this is your chance to earn a $1,000 scholarship! 💰

📌 Scholarship preference will be given to students who have:
✔️ Participated in high school sports
✔️ Plan to play sports in college
✔️ Passionate about giving back to the community

📅 Deadline to apply: April 1, 2025
🏅 Winners announced on or after: April 25, 2025

We are so thankful for you, our AFYSSC community! We thank you for your continued support of young athletes in our community. With your support during the past four years, we have been able to help more than 525 local youth participate in all types of sports — everything from football and wrestling to trap shooting, dance, and more. As we wrap up 2024 and prepare for a new year of sports, we would be grateful for contributions you may want to make today on !
