You DO like music. And kids are, at times, likeable. Finally there is a way to combine all three of these preferences and raise money for a great cause! THE DEAL: CBA member Mark Peet is pledging to run 1 mile for every $5 raised, (up to 2022 miles!) between Jan. 1, 2022 and Dec. 31, 2022. That's right. Make a tax deductible donation to the California Bluegrass Association Youth Program and I WILL
RUN FOR YOU! So go ahead and skip a few workouts this year, GUILT FREE! Ease into that low-back chair, while I click off the miles for you! THE GOAL: My goal is to raise $20,220 to benefit the California Bluegrass Association Youth Program. THE CAUSE: The California Bluegrass Association is well known for the Kids on Bluegrass (KOB) program. It has helped to produce many extremely talented professional musicians over the years. Grammy nods, y'all! KOB has been emulated by festivals around the world including the International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) annual event, the World of Bluegrass. THE MILEAGE: I’ll be tracking my daily mileage by GPS and sharing my runs on the Strava app (https://www.strava.com/athletes/26175968), as well as posting updates on GoFundMe and other social media platforms
“But that’s too far to run”, you’re thinking. "Agreed", I'm thinking. But inspired by your generous pledges and encouragement, I’ll tick off every mile. I look forward to it! Thanks in advance for your generous contribution to this AMAZING program that makes instruments and musical opportunities available for California’s kids. It means so much to me. MUSIC IS THE BEST!
