This series is 6 classes: Mondays, May 11, 18, & 25 from 5:30-6:30 PM and Saturdays, May 16, 23 & 30 8-9am.
What to Expect:
You'll learn how to breathe with your body, find safe alignment in standing, seated, and supine poses, and begin to understand how the practice can become a tool for everyday wellbeing. Modifications and props will be available throughout, so the practice meets you exactly where you are. We'll close every session with an extended yoga nidra — the ancient practice of "yogic sleep." Lying in complete stillness, you'll be guided through a deeply restorative body scan and visualization that brings the nervous system into a state of profound rest. Yoga nidra is accessible to absolutely everyone regardless of physical ability, and many people describe a single session as equivalent to several hours of deep sleep.
