Let’s learn a little more about my platform and why I chose it!!
~
I was diagnosed with Hypermobile and Vascular EDS, you may be asking “what is EDS?” Well here is an explanation!!
Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is a group of inherited disorders that affect the body's connective tissue, which provides strength and support to the skin, joints, blood vessels, and organs. EDS is usually caused by changes in genes that affect collagen, a key protein that helps hold the body together.
~
Common symptoms include:
Joint hypermobilty (joints that move beyond the normal range)
Frequent joint pain, sprans, or dislocations
Soft, stretchy, or fragile skin that bruises easily
Chronic pain and fatigue
Slow wound healing in some types
~
There are several types of EDS, with hypermobile EDS (hEDS) being the most common. Symptoms and severity vary widely from person to person. While there is no cure, treatment focuses on managing symptoms through physical therapy, pain management, joint protection, and monitoring for complications.

When I was age 13 I was diagnosed also with high functioning autism and I don’t see that as a disability I see that as a different-ability!! Here’s a little more info on my diagnosis of high functioning autism!!
~
"High-functioning autism" is an older, non medical term that usually refers to autistic people who have average or above average Intelligence and do not have significant language delays but sill experience challenges with social communication, understanding social cues, sensory sensitivities, routines, or executive functioning.
~
Today, clinicians generally use the diagnosis Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and may describe a person's support needs rather than using the term "high-functioning," because someone's abilities can vary greatly across different areas of life.
~
A simple explanation is:
High-functioning autism is a form of autism where a person can often live independently and
communicate well but may sill have significant challenges with social interaction, sensory processing, flexibilly, and daily organization.
