Rae the Band is a soulful, funky, and blues influenced band from NYC. Blending sounds of 60s soul, electric blues, and classic rock through their original music alongside their specially selected covers. Rae the Band aspires to honor and lift up the music of their heroes such as B.B. King, Albert King, Aretha Franklin, Mahalia Jackson, Ray Charles and more, hoping to extend their impact on to a new generation. They are inspired by artists like Tedeschi Trucks Band, Soulive, Alabama Shakes, Marcus King, etc. Rae the Band is made up of female front woman whose vocals will raise the hair on your arms and her rhythm guitar playing holds it down, a lead guitar player who truly makes his guitar sing, a keyboard player that is a musical genius both on the keys and background vocals, the father of the front woman whose vocals will knock the wind out of you is also the most honest, heartfelt bass player to grace the stage, and finally a drummer with the deepest pocket.
