American Legion Post 84 Raise Colors on Veterans Day 11/11/2023 at the American Indian Sunset Tribute. It was a very touching ceremony with Priscilla "Percy" Piestewa, Gold Star Mother of Lori Piestewa, as a guest speaker.

American Legion Post 84 Raise Colors on Veterans Day 11/11/2023. at the American Indian Sunset Tribute. Shaylin Shábi (Dine), former Miss Native American USA beautifully performed the National Anthem.

American Legion Post 84 Raise Colors on Veterans Day 11/11/2023 at the American Indian Sunset Tribute. It was a very touching ceremony with Priscilla "Percy" Piestewa, Gold Star Mother of Lori Piestewa, as a guest speaker. Thunder Springs drummers performed the Flag Song. Shaylin Shábi (Dine), former Miss Native American USA beautifully performed the National Anthem.
Veterans were presented with a Challenge Coin by Congressman Gallegos, US Marine. A Quilt of Valor was also presented to Veterans by quilts2heal.org. Veterans were given an "Honor Dance" performed by Cha'Bii'Tu Apache Crown Dance Group. It was a beautiful ceremony to end our Veterans Day Celebration.

We are a month out from Red Sleigh Down 19! Saturday December 9th, 2023 at Sasco benefiting the Toys for Tots program. Green is in the lead on registration count but there is still plenty of time to see how things shape up before we close down a faction. Just a reminder that tickets are free and are used as a mechanism to keep faction registration balanced.
