December is always a busy month for Rye Rotary, as it holds two special traditions: Our annual holiday luncheon with the Rye City Lions Club and the Rotary Challenge girls basketball tournament game. On the 11th, Rotarians and Lions Club members got together for a delicious buffet lunch at Whitby Castle, where we were treated to a wonderful selection of holiday music sung by the Midland School chorus! We want to extend our thanks to Rita Pisano and every member of her choir for their beautiful performance. We truly appreciate the gift of music sung by young voices that brings the holiday spirit to our group every year.🙏🎶🎄🕎🕊️❤️
On the 22nd, the Rye Varsity Girls Basketball team held their 33rd annual "Rotary Challenge" game, achieving a decisive 58-33 win against rival Harrison. This was a fifth consecutive win for the Rye girls basketball team! Rotary is happy to sponsor this special tournament game every year, and we send our congratulations to the team and their coach Margo Hackett. We wish you continued success for the remainder of the season! 🏀⛹🏻♀️🏆👏👏👏
