Clara Vista

Clara Vista Community Driven Development
A 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Clara Vista Foundation (CVF) was officially incorporated on May 14th, 2013.

Although CVF was just recently recognized as an organization, founders Tamara Stone and her father Gary have been developing relationships and engaging in small projects within the Venado community for several years. In 2011, they initiated the Recycling and Solid Waste Management Program, and assisted with instituting the local Blue Flag Committee, an international organization that promotes sust

ainable tourism. In August 2012 Tamara assisted with forming the Asociación de Vecinos de Venado - a non-profit organization comprised of local community leaders that assist with community projects, provide leadership, and manage the new community center. Consistent support has been provided while aiming to increase the capacity of this association and to establish connections with local organizations.

We are shocked and heart-broken to hear of Venado's beloved Jaime Piña Corea's recent passing. To say that Jaime was a leader would be an understatement - he was Venado's change-maker, the communities anchor... the guy who anyone in the community could go to for help. His heart radiated a mile-wide and he always carried compassion in his eyes.

Jaime invested countless hours into the community - he led Venado's leadership association Asociación de Vecinos de Venado, and he was a leader for the local water board, school committee, sports committee in various roles over the past decade.

For Clara Vista, he was our main partner and liaison. We will be missed so dearly and his legacy will live on throughout all of the projects he helped galvanize for the community - the community center, various improvements to the plaza, the water system, the school - nothing in Venado wasn't touched or supported by Jaime.

All donations gathered through the end of April will go towards supporting Jaime's family and a community legacy project so his spirit will carry on, continuing to care for all of his neighbors in Venado.

While this video of Jaime was made in 2015, it encapsulates Jaime so beautifully
