From Father Justin to St. Michael's Parishioners:
Dear Friends,
There is a first time for everything and I am there!
Here I sit in the rectory with a locked Church and no
schedule. I was ordained to serve and I am not
allowed to serve. Yesterday afternoon I was called to a
local nursing home by the husband of a dying woman
and I was not allowed in to serve the dying. Robert
Murphy, a third-year seminarian, housed with me until
May 15, because his seminary is closed, just attended
Mass with me behind locked doors. All I could think of
last evening was a coffin lid sliding into place with me
alive inside. The final thud rocking my soul.
Wow! So gloomy! Not for long!! This weekend our
Lord Jesus throws open the tomb of his friend
Lazarus! The Lord calls him forth and Lazarus comes
to life. Jesus always calls us forth to life. He is calling
you and me this very moment. Things have changed
for who knows how long. We will persevere. We will
come to new life in Christ. Please, pray at
home, staying close to the full power of our Creator.
Just maybe you feel the absence of God through His
Son’s sacrifice which is creating a deep longing to
receive Him again!
God bless you all! Know I’m praying for all of you
and for a quick end to this mess.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Justin
