πŸŽ“ Senior Spotlight: Congratulations to Jackson!
Join us in celebrating Jackson who will be heading off to Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA in the fall.

Although Jackson has only been on the team since 2025 - his impact has been immense. His intense and relentless dedication to design this year was vital to the success of the robot, as he single handedly designed the turret and energy chain for our 2026 robot. His wide range of interests and knowledge has also supported other sub-teams including scouting, strategy, and programming - and kept us all entertained and informed.

It will be impossible for any of us to forget Jackson - not just for his mad design skills and breadth of knowledge - but also because throughout the season he secretly left a surprise selfie of himself on each team member and mentor’s cell phone this year (one of which even made it on to a team mate’s senior yearbook page at a school that Jackson doesn’t even attend). πŸ“·πŸ˜‚

Congratulations to Jackson and best wishes for his future!πŸ’šπŸ€–

πŸ›οΈπŸ€– Capital for a Day Visits the IBOTS!
IBOTS and Rutland Area Robotics were honored to be included on today's Capital for a Day visits in Rutland County!

We were thrilled to welcome Vermont Secretary of Education Zoie Saunders and Deputy Secretary of Education Jill Briggs Campbell to our robotics space at The MINT - Rutland's Makerspace. Our students had the opportunity to share information about our FIRST Robotics programs and discuss our vision of expanding our facility into a full Robotics Community Center that supports robotics education and STEM opportunities for learners of all ages.

One of the highlights of the visit? Secretary Saunders even took the controls and drove our 2026 robot! It was a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved.

Thank you to Secretary Saunders and Deputy Secretary Campbell for taking the time to meet with our students and alumni, listen to their experiences, and learn more about our goals for growing STEM education throughout our region. We are grateful for your interest, support, and commitment to helping create opportunities for Vermont students.

πŸŽ“ Senior Spotlight: Congratulations Brenden!
Join us in celebrating Brenden who will be going to Plymouth State University in the fall to major in digital media (with a possible minor in robotics).

Since joining the IBOTS in 2025, Brenden has been involved with our digital media sub-team, outreach, and scouting. At the 2026 World Championship, Brenden definitely won for collecting the most name badge ribbons of anyone on our team!

Brenden’s favorite IBOTS memory is going to the 2025 World Championship and exploring everything that was there and scouting the matches. Brenden has been an extremely dedicated scout on our team for the past two seasons. His hard work and dedication in the stands will be missed.

Congratulations to Brenden and best wishes for his future!πŸ’šπŸ€–

πŸ’₯BattleCry Finish - IBOTS was captain for Alliance 6 in playoffs. We battled fiercely to the end with our alliance partners FRC 190 Gompei, FRC 10262 Buzz Bionics, and FRC Team 10063 SCRAP Robotics - sadly being eliminated one match before the finals. We had a high score of 476 during playoffs. Our alliance worked hard - supporting each other throughout any and all challenges as they arose.

IBOTS was honored to receive the BattleCry Service Before Self Award at the event. πŸ’šπŸ†πŸ€–

Huge shout out Thank You to all the CSA's at the event who helped when we had an issue with the SD card for our roboRIO!
